Bridal Elegance in Martina Liana

A message from the bride

What was it like when you found "the dress"? After a couple of very unsuccessful trips to different bridal stores, I decided to book an appointment with a bridal style expert at Lovella Bridal. When I made the appointment, I did not have high expectations that I was actually going to find anything during my visit. My expectations for finding my wedding dress were so low that I didn't even invite my mom or my sisters to come with me! If it weren't for one of my best friends insisting on coming with me, I would have been alone when I found my dream dress.

Once I arrived at Lovella Bridal, I was happily surprised to learn that Martina Liana was having a trunk show that day and had all their new, unreleased 2018 bridal gowns! It was some amazing luck. When I began to describe the style I was looking for, the stylist I was working with immediately hand picked a couple of dresses from the trunk show for me to try on. The first one she brought me ended up being the dress I chose.

From the moment I put on the dress, my eyes lit up. I looked at my friend and both of us immediately became tearful. It was then that I knew what it felt like to find "the dress", I was so in love! Truly, I felt completely elated to have found the perfect dress for me and was so incredibly glad to have shared that very special experience with one of my best friends.

Any recommendations for brides looking for their glam squad? Besides your Wedding Photographer, I would say that finding a Hair Stylist & Make-Up Artist that will fit the vision you have for your wedding day, should be the important facet for every bride. The thing is, make up can look different on every face, so the best thing you can do is go in for a trial before your big day. This way, you will be certain that the look you want to do actually matches your facial features and the bridal style you are going for.

If you are not going to have your glam squad come to your house to do your hair and makeup, I would highly recommend booking both artists at the same salon/location. I heard this before, and did not quite understand until it was my turn. If you do this, it will beyond any doubt save you time and unneeded stress because everything will be in one place. From my experience, all the girls at Lilit's Makeup Studio do a great job with that soft and natural bridal look. Specifically for me, Nazely Adzemian is an artist I always trust and she does my makeup exactly how I want, every single time. I chose Diana Arakelyan to do my bridal hair because she has consistently done an amazing job on me, and she is someone I fully trust since she is so meticulous. Both artists have a great eye for what looks good on a bride and that was very important to me.

Were you inspired by any style icons for your bridal look? To be honest, I wasn't inspired by any specific style icons for my bridal look but I always knew that I wanted my bridal look to the perfect combination of timeless, classy and elegant.

What was your favorite part of your bridal look? Of course, every detail of a bride's look plays a part in the overall beauty of the bride. But, if I had to pick my favorite part, I would definitely pick my dress. What I adored most was all the beading and lace detailing, along with the low back and how it tightly hugged my body, yet opened up perfectly to a long train. However, without my veil and headpiece, my dream bridal look would not be complete! Everything together, complimented more than I could have ever imagined.
