A Message from the Bride to Be
Describe your experience with finding the perfect location for your PreWedding Session: We knew we wanted something outdoors with a lot of scenery options that would give our photographs a variety of option to love and provide us different looks!
What are your recommendations/tips for couples before/during their PreWedding Session? Eat something before and hydrate! You will have a lot to do the morning of with your hair and make-up so it will be important to find time to give yourself fuel especially if you are walking around big grounds like the Arboretum.
While at the location do your best to relax, and have fun! Rene has an amazing eye and will make you both look amazing, so enjoy the process.
Tell us about your PreWedding Session location: We loved all the different locations on the grounds and the scenic variety it provided lots of aesthetic to our engagement photographs which was what we were looking for.
We intentionally wanted a place where there would be nature surrounding us so we knew we found a location that would make us happy and made us feel like ourselves.
What made it special is that it just provides intimate time with your loved one, which is different from the wedding day and other occasions. Rene also just made us feel at ease and made us laugh which lifted the weight of the day off our shoulders!
What was your favorite part about your session? My favorite part of the session was really having time to enjoy and see the various parts of the Arboretum and having those special moments with Shawn.
It was nice to know that this was our personal time together.
It was also really stress relieving because Rene and his team were super helpful, directive, professional and efficient. We have no idea how to work ourselves in front of the camera so his direction and guidance was a blessing!
Describe the moment he proposed! Shawn proposed to me at Sedghly Woods in Philadelphia a day before my graduation and two days before his. This is a place that we went to often with friends or just us two. It was super romantic and intimate in all the best ways with all the foliage he didn't need anything extra to spruce up the proposal.
Tell us about your very first date! Our first date was at this amazing sushi restaurant called Fat Salmon in Philadelphia. Neither of us had ever gone there, but it eventually became our weekly ritual go to place for sushi.
I was so excited and nervous because I had a major crush on him! The nerves went away as soon as he made me laugh, it helped that we were friends before we starting dating.
Interesting/fun facts about the couple or session: We both were thinking to get In-N-Out after, can't go wrong with the best fast food after the session.
What are you most excited about for your upcoming wedding? I am most excited about our ceremony, but also the dancing that will happen after with our loves ones.
