Fairytale Wedding at Taglyan Complex

Wedding in Los Angeles

Kathy & Marat

A Message from the Bride

Describe your experience with wedding planning: To be honest, wedding planning was stressful especially since we did not really know where to start in the beginning.

With help from our planning team and vendors, we were able to have the wedding of our dreams.

When we met our amazing planner, Edgar Hay Events, he made every detail of planning so incredibly smooth and easy going!

Edgar took our ideas and over exceeded all our expectations. This is one of the reasons why we highly recommend getting a planner to help with all the details and find someone understands your vision!

Our floral designer, Dolce Fiore, was also incredible to work with. Their team did a great job to ensure we had our dream wedding.

Every vendor you choose plays a role in the overall finished look, and we are so happy with the way things turned out!

Describe your experience with finding your wedding gown: My wedding gown was a custom gown made by Panache Beverly Hills and designed by Sahar from their bridal shop.

I originally fell in love with four different dresses from their bridal shop, and could not decide on just one.

Panache’s team worked very closely with me to customize my dream gown with the four designs I loved in mind and in the end it turned out more beautiful than I could have envisioned!

I will be honest, it really was a lot of work! But to have my dream dress made to marry my dream groom, it was so worth it and I would recommend it to anyone who is considering it.

Marat and I first met eight years ago, through social media actually, while I was in high school and Marat was in college.

After spending some time getting to know each other better, he decided to take me out for our first date to a LA Kings hockey game. It was very special because we both loved hockey, and Marat actually used to play.

After our first date, he was mine and I was his - the rest is history!

Describe the moment he proposed: I was told that I am going to a Christmas Party of one of his relatives. We arrived to his house because his mom wanted to "take pictures" with us.

Then he blindfolded me and I asked him if he's surprising me with another dog (haha!) but little did I know he was actually proposing to me with an arrangement of neon letters spelling “Marry Me!”

The best was that this was not it for the surprises. He had organized a party to celebrate our engagement with both of our families, so they were all gathered up at my house to celebrate after I said “YESS!”

What are your favorite moments of your wedding day: Our favorite moments from our wedding is hard to answer, because everything was amazing!

The moments that stood out are definitely when we were surrounded by all our loved ones, family and friends. Our ceremony was so special and it is something I will always cherish deeply.

When it came to choosing a venue, I always knew I wanted my reception to take place at Taglyan Complex.

After I went to my first wedding at Taglyan, I really fell in love with all the details from the design of the space to the one of a kind ceiling!

We were taken away by the beauty that all our vendors worked so hard to create, and were overwhelmed and left SPEECHLESS to say the least!

Wedding Reception Design Theme: We wanted an enchanted garden theme. I wanted to feel as if I'm walking into some heavenly garden!

We wanted all real flowers and this was important to us, even the back wall of flowers were all all real! To make everything was supported properly to hold the 9k+ roses, we used steel beams in an “X” shape.

The whole production took nearly 24 hours of non stop work, and we are so beyond grateful for everyone's hard work to create our fairytale wedding reception!

Our first dance was very (very!) special. It was the moment that struck us to the core and reminded us why we are getting married.

Any advice you have for 2022 brides? Don't be nervous and push for what YOU want, anything is possible! You should have multiple ideas in mind because something might not work out so it is good to have backup options (always!).

Remember to enjoy every single step of the way and try your best not to let stress get in the way.

Lastly…enjoy and take it all in because this is YOUR day!

The whole night really does fly by and when it is all over, you will miss every single moment, even the stressful ones.
