Floral Heaven at Westin St. Francis

Wedding in San Fransisco

Myles & Nikki

A Message from the Bride

There is plenty that goes into wedding planning, though not easy, it will all be worth it!

We were so lucky to have worked with vendors we loved, it is crucial to choose people you trust because they will be with you throughout the whole journey.

We got ready at the Westin St. Francis with our closest friends, and the views from the suite from the very top were so mesmerizing.

When we found out that the hotel was built in 1904, it blew our mind. It has so much charm!

The wedding was full of flowers and gorgeous designs everywhere we went, all thanks to Flowers by Edgar and his team!

There was so many important details used to honor our Vietnamese heritage, and we tried to incorporate all the grand traditions with our family.

It was crucial for us to include our best friends and cousins as well, they were a part of every aspect which made it all so much more special.

The wedding festivities started at 7am, so we had to get ready for the day about three hours before that, so you can imagine what a long day it was. Again, all so worth it to have our dream wedding day.

Traditionally the groom’s family will come to the bride’s house with gifts and flowers, asking for her hand in marriage. It is a very momentous couple hours and it begins right after the sunrise.

The details used were all so beautiful for our Vietnamese celebration at the beginning of the day, which started with a tea and candlelight ceremony.

There was also a ceremony which took place at our home church. It was just lovely!

We waited a long time to have our special day, after so many postponements, we finally did it!

After the exchanging of vows and rings, we as the bride and groom serve green tea as a sign of respect to our elders. We made sure we did not forget this tradition as we adore our family so dearly.

It was so crazy to see how Flowers by Edgar transformed the grand ballroom into a surrel wonderland of gorgeous-ness!

For an inside look, make sure to check out the short film Rene Zadori created, love the story it tells of this amazing day..

The grandiose gold along with the mix of vibrant and soft pinks, made for a truly delicate feel, it was exactly what we envisioned (and more!).

There was no detail left behind, thanks to our amazing vendors. We appreciate so much what our wedding planner Smitten Kiss did for us as well.

The colors used for the reception was an important factor, for example gold is normally reserved for only the couple, and some incorporate reds, but we swapped that with lots of pretty pinks!

Macio and Edgar truly wowed us with the stunning design at the reception, there were almost no details left behind thanks to them!

From the fabulous florals everywhere, to the cake, the head table, there was so much we loved.

Our guests also loved being at the very top of the Westin St. Francis, to enjoy the views during our cocktail hour and reception.

There was a great amount of planning for the bridal styling, and my soft yet glowing look created by the glam team was so elegant!

We could not have imagined a more perfect day, beginning to end. We did it!
